A complex yet approachable balanced dish that focuses on the grapes that the environment produces.
Rainstorm's goal is to make the most of Oregon's vibrant personality. Produced from the Willamette and Umpqua Valleys, it produces wonderfully balanced, approachable yet complex wines.
Willamette Valley (mild temperatures yield grapes with complexity, firm acidity and elegance) and Umpqua Valley (warmer temperatures produce rich, fruit-intensive grapes) ) grapes blended. The result is a perfectly balanced wine. Maceration for 1 week to reduce astringency. After malolactic fermentation and filtration, it is aged in oak barrels for at least 10 months.
From vine to bottle, Rainstorm Pinot Noir is carefully and thoughtfully crafted. Sourcing fruit from some of the Willamette Valley's finest growers, we spend the time in the field tracking the vineyards progress from budbreak through bloom, fruit-set into veraison and sampling regularly until our winemaker calls for the harvest to come in. Just as the inspired chef is compelled to share their culinary works of art, the wine crafter's creation brings people together in celebration of all of life's great pleasures.
