Founded in 1998 by winemaker Joey Tensley, Tensley Wines began with just 100 cases and a simple vision: to create Syrah-driven wines that let the vineyards of Santa Barbara County speak for themselves. What started as a small project has grown into a 5,000-case winery celebrated by critics worldwide, with Syrahs that have earned spots on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 and scored as high as 99 points from Robert Parker.

Tensley remains dedicated to Rhône varietals sourced exclusively from Santa Barbara County, a region known for its unique east-west mountain range and diverse microclimates. Each wine reflects Joey’s philosophy of staying true to the vineyard, producing bottles that are powerful yet balanced, expressive yet approachable.
