This is a casual line of Poggio al Sole, produced using relatively young Sangiovese. Trittico means Tryptich (trilogy). You can enjoy the charm of three grape varieties blended in one bottle. The lively aroma of red fruits is pleasant, and the beautiful presence of minerals and acidity leaves a good impression. Giovanni Davaz, the third son of a Swiss winery, started this winery in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa in the Chianti area in 1990. Until 1994, he was advised by Mr. Sangiovese 'Franco Bernabei', but since then he has been doing all the work from field work to brewing by himself. This area has Galestro soil, which is found in high-quality Chianti fields, and the drainage is very good, so the wine has a lot of minerals.
It is no exaggeration to say that Poggio al Sole is now the leading producer in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. However, in the beginning, he had a hard time just because he was a young Swiss. In the bumper 1995 vintage, he produced a masterpiece of quality that was enough to surprise the world, but he ended up being overshadowed by existing famous brands that released products of such quality that they surpassed the past.
Eight years after opening, their flagship wine "Chianti Classico Casascilia '97" won the highest award of 3 Bicchieri in the 1998 edition of Gambero Rosso. After that, their Igt wine "Sera Selva" won 3 stars for three consecutive years in the 1999-2001 edition of Veronelli magazine, and was awarded Super Tre Stelle (3 blue stars ★★★), becoming recognized as an excellent producer of Chianti Classico.

In the 2011 edition of Gambero Rosso, the standard line Chianti Classico (2008 vintage) won the highest rating of Tre Bicchieri. The introduction said, "Hats off!" and also praised, "The other wines are also very delicious."

From Vivenda 2014
Poggio al Sole is a stable winery, and the quality is always high. Casa Cilia 2010 is deep flavored, with a complex bouquet of cherry, berry, tobacco, and sweet spice. The tannins are well blended, and the fresh aftertaste lasts for a long time. It expresses the terroir beautifully.
