This wine has a wonderful rose pink color. It has a strawberry and rose petal aroma. It has a clean, fruity taste reminiscent of citrus fruits. It is a refreshing wine that reminds you of spring, and the taste is also bright, clean, and fresh. Even though it is a rosé, you can enjoy the aftertaste for a long time.
Owner Len Harris purchased a vineyard in Oakville, Napa Valley in 1975. He started bottling in 1991. Heidi Barrett has been handling the wine since the first vintage. Paradigm's vineyards are located in a prime location that is connected to Opus One, Far Niente, Harlan Estate, and others. However, Paradigm purchased the vineyards before the 1976 blind tasting "The Judgment of Paris," which triggered the price of vineyards in Napa Valley to soar, so the cost of the land is very low compared to other producers who purchased vineyards later. In addition, Paradigm had noticed the talent of Heidi Barrett, who is now a very popular wine consultant, early on and asked her to be a consultant, so the consulting fee is much cheaper than if you were to hire her for the first time. This is the secret behind Paradigm's affordability. In 2006, it was selected as one of the "Top 5 Bargain Cabernets in Napa" by Wine Spectator magazine. We strive to make wine to the best of our ability, selling most of our production to outside parties and using only the best fruit to make our own wine.
