Earthy and mushroom flavors are front and center with lively cherry aromas, along with spicy notes of raspberry, American cherry and nutmeg.

The taste is soft and rounded, with gentle tannins that give the wine structure.

2021 was a low yield year due to drought conditions across Lodi, with harvest beginning in mid-August.

The quality of the final harvest was excellent, with the grapes being allowed to ripen fully while retaining a good level of acidity.

The Maggio family story began in 1906 when Angelo Maggio and his wife Luisa emigrated from Genoa, Italy to Lodi, California.

They first planted Zinfandel vineyards on the ranch grounds, then began fully cultivating grapes and making wine, establishing Oak Ridge Winery in 1934.

His son Louis and grandson Rudy also joined the winery and began supplying grapes to wineries around the country, and now, after five generations, it has become one of Lodi's leading family-run wineries.

This wine has been named after itself, a proud expression of their uncompromising commitment to sustainable agriculture and the pursuit of high quality winemaking.

This wine is made from 100% grapes from our own vineyards and is sustainable and vegan-friendly, certified by the Lodi Rules.

The juicy, rich fruitiness that reflects the blessings of the California sun is addictively delicious.

This is an approachable wine that will accompany you on any occasion, whether you're attending a large party or a quiet evening at home.
