COMMENT
This family-run domaine owns 35 hectares of its own vineyards in Crozes-Hermitage, a famous wine-producing region in the northern Rhone. Most of the wine produced in this region is red, but the white Crozes-Hermitage they produce is also excellent. Unlike the general image of heavy, strong Rhone wines, they produce wines that are dense and have a cool feel.
This wine is Hermitage Blanc, the best white wine from the Northern Rhone. This dense and aromatic wine has an amazing long aging potential.
WINEMAKING
South-facing hills of clay-limestone. Goblet-style. Hand-picked, destemmed and pressed. Fermented and malolactic fermented in barriques (228L, 60% new). Aged for approximately 12 months with batonnage on the lees. Average vine age: 50-60 years.
