COMMENT
This family-run domaine owns 35 hectares of its own vineyards in Crozes-Hermitage, a famous wine-producing region in the northern Rhone. Most of the wine produced in this region is red, but the white Crozes-Hermitage they produce is also excellent. Unlike the general image of heavy, strong Rhone wines, they produce wines that are dense and have a cool feel.
This is a rare white wine from Crozes-Hermitage in a region dominated by reds, and although it is drinkable young, it can also be enjoyed with another four to five years of ageing.
WINEMAKING
After hand-picking, the grapes are destemmed and pressed. Fermented in stainless steel tanks while controlling the temperature. Then aged for 8 to 10 months in foudres and demi-muids (600L) barrels.
