Grand Ciel Cabernet is a single-variety, single-clone Cabernet grown on our own vineyards in Red Mountain (long considered Washington State's top AVA).
Known for its unique climate and soil, which produces ripe, structured Cabernets, our vineyards are meticulously engineered to produce the finest quality fruit in this AVA.
Our rigorous selection process ensures that only a small percentage of the grapes make it into the Grand Ciel (Grand Sky).
This wine has wonderful aromas of cassis, blackcurrant and kirsch liqueur.
The oak aroma gives off a gentle hint of cinnamon sticks, cloves, caramel and vanilla beans.
The wine's depth and nuances are further enhanced when savored after extended decanting, revealing hints of truffle, graphite and tobacco leaf.
Even at this early stage, the tannins have already settled considerably, leading to an approachable, intriguing finish.
This wine will certainly age well for as long as you can cellar it.
