Eli Callaway, the founder of Callaway, a world-famous golf brand, was originally a winemaker!

Founded in 1974, Callaway Vineyard & Winery is the oldest winery in Temecula, serving Callaway wines to Queen Elizabeth II for lunch when she visited the United States. There is an anecdote that the reputation of Temecula and Callaway as wine-producing regions has increased since the Queen asked for a second glass and a meeting with the winemaker.

Here is the winery's Cabernet Sauvignon.

A cabernet-like impression that spreads the scent of small black fruits and faint spices. Aromas of dark chocolate and vanilla.

The medium-bodied, cherry-feeling fruitiness is combined with the vanilla feeling derived from the barrel, and it spreads intricately and harmonizes with the moderate astringency.

Uses American and French oak barrels. Aged in 90% American and 10% French oak for a total of 7 months.

Silver medal at the International Wine Competition
