Paso Robles – カベルネ・ソーヴィニョン
About halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, "Paso Robles" is a typical wine production area in San Luis Obispo County, the northern limit of SOCAL (Southern California).
The official name, El Paso de Robles, means "Oak Road" and is a fitting name for a wine-growing region.
Taking the initials of San Luis Obispo, this area called SLO COUNTY is a very peaceful place.
Wine began to be planted in the 1790s, and there are many vineyards with the longest history in California wine. (Napa and Sonoma in the 1840s)
There are more than 200 wineries, boasting a total field area of more than 40,000 ha.
The main planted grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Syrah. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, etc.
