Knocked out by overflowing white peach, lime leaf, honeysuckle, apricot and stone flavors and textures. It has a long aftertaste and is delicious.

2021 has been one of the warmest vintages ever in Washington state. Good weather and moderate temperatures allowed budding to begin early and June to be the warmest on record, resulting in very small berries. The subsequent veraison and maturity start was smooth and even, resulting in a beautiful long maturity period that yielded wonderfully concentrated fruit. All in all, 2021 is a unique and beautiful vintage, producing great wines to enjoy now and in the future.

Planted by Jerry Milbrandt in 1998, this vineyard is located in the Ancient Lakes AVA along the steep cliffs above the Columbia River. It is a cool place due to the influence of the river, and the soil is composed of basalt, gravel, silt and caliche (calcareous deposits) deposited by the floods of the Ice Age. As with all Milbrandt vineyards, the grapes here are admired by winemakers for their graceful minerality and excellent acidity balance.
