Pierre Goubiard is located in Hautvillers, the birthplace of champagne and the land where the monk Dom Pérignon spent his time. The Goubiard family was originally a family of grape growers, and since 1933, they have developed their business by passing on their experience and skills from father to son for four generations. Their 15 hectares of vineyards stretch from Cumieres to Hautvillers. They only grow three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. Most of the grapes are harvested from first-growth vineyards. As they come from a family of growers, their approach to winemaking is very natural. However, at the same time, every process is strictly controlled to express the characteristics of the terroir. They monitor the ripeness of the grapes and hand-pick the whole bunches.
