"Seul en Scene" means "solo performance". Mica cyst and mudstone mixed with crystal and quartz. Steep slope facing south and southwest. 100% whole bunch. Maceration for about 10 days. Aged for approximately 18 months in barrels (30% new barrels). François Villard, Pierre Gaillard, and Yves Cuilleron, three vignerons representing the northern Rhône, learned that there once existed a vineyard producing high-quality wine in the Seishuel hill, and in 1996 they decided to visit that hill. He planted vines, founded Les Vins de Vienne, and produced some great wines. It was truly the rebirth of the legendary hill "Seichuel", and news of this new Northern Rhône quickly spread throughout the wine industry. The Seixuel Hill is an old vineyard that has existed since Roman times, and before phylloxera, it was much more highly regarded than the wine produced from Cote Roty, but it was abandoned for a long time due to the war. . Located on the opposite bank of the Cote-Rôtie across the Rhône River. The meandering Rhône River is at its narrowest in this area (700 m), creating a unique Mediterranean climate (Micro-Climat). Additionally, this steep slope in the valley is subject to strong winds, making it an area where leaves and fruits are less likely to be damaged by mold or pests. The soil is a mixture of schist and gneiss, similar to Cote-Rôtie. These soil characteristics and steep slopes provide excellent water drainage, and the solar heat absorbed by the bedrock promotes the ripening of the grapes. These natural conditions make it possible to harvest ripe and concentrated fruit. Currently, as many as 25 producers, from prestigious producers such as Michel & Stéphane Ogier, Louis Chaise, and Anthony Paré, to the Rhône giant Chapoutier, own vineyards in the Seishuel hills, making wine on a total of more than 65 hectares. It is. They founded Vitis Vienna in 2004 to promote wines from this terroir and are currently lobbying INAO for promotion from IGP to AOC. Les Vins de Vienne owns 12ha in this Seichuel. Pierre Gaillard, Yves Cuilleron, and François Villard shared the name ``Terre de VIENNAE'' for this area of Seishuel, and each produced wine based on their own philosophy. (TERRE = Earth, VIENNAE = Vienne in Latin). Led by three pioneers, the famous vignerons of the Rhône will convey the possibilities and potential of new Rhône wines from Seishuel.
