Winery information
While looking for vineyards in the mid-1970s, Nikki Hahn found Smith Ranch, a horse ranch, and Hook Ranch, a cattle ranch for generations, in Monterey's Santa Lucia Highlands. I made up my mind to plant grapes.
So Nicky released a wine named Smith & Hook in honor of them. Since the highly acclaimed first vintage in 1980, we have continued to make the wine, and the 2006 vintage, which has been repackaged, continues to express the heritage of the land and the pioneering spirit of Nicky.
