The reason is that Akiko's blend always wins first place in staff tastings held blind every year.
Clear and bright purple in color, the 2018 Akiko's Cuvée stands out for its typical savory notes. Normally, this wine takes time to open up, but this vintage reveals a beautiful aroma of wet earth, herbs such as thyme, and French oak barrels as soon as it is poured into the glass. The seamless palate of spice, fruit, oak and soft tannins typical of Pinot Noir is complemented by bright acidity. 2020 to 2030 is the best time to drink.
